
Suicide Survivors Camp
Mission:
To offer support and educational training to those who have experienced suicide from
any of three ways: Suicide Ideation, Suicide Attempts, or Loss of a loved one to suicide.
This is a 5-hour day camp, and though the focus is on survivors of suicide, the camp is not
restricted to this population of people.
Anyone interested in learning more about suicide, signs of
suicide, risk factors, suicide prevention, etc. is welcome to sign up.
Schedule
The camp will be scheduled once a month. The date and time will be announced three weeks
prior for sign-up
Light refreshments will be served!

Activities
- Understanding Suicide
- Brief background discussion on suicide (handouts and materials provided)
- Basic ASIST
- (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) strategies that can be applied to everyday life
- Team building skills:
- Call Anytime. Talk, Chat, Hear (C.A.T.C.H).
- P.S.S.T Come closer
- Group therapy/Round Circle Discussion using our 3-G’s --- [Grow] - share your experiences, we are all listening [Glow] - Let darkness out, let light in [Go] - Make connections with others. You are not alone, and neither are they
